Jackass 3-D! Review

I just got back from Jackass 3-D and I can say I have not laughed that much in a long time. I am not going to actually try to review this film, but I will say it was a hilarious movie that helped take my mind off the world. Did you know that miners were trapped in Chile?! I didn't! When the hell did that happen? Huh.

If you enjoyed the television show or either of the past two films go check it out. The 3-D really ain't too shabby either. Its actually the best use of 3-D I have seen in a movie. Sorry Avatar I don't have three hours to fall asleep. I am completely still against 3-D cinema but I'd watch another 3-D Jackass film. Other movies quit following a fad and Cameron go make a good movie.

Vomit, poop, and penis are just some of the fun things you will get to enjoy! I don't want to list any stunts as that takes away from the shock factor. Let's just say I did my fair share of cringing. I really do miss Jackass. Watching people get hurt for some reason makes me smile and I can't bring myself to waste my time with YouTube @#$%.

Its just nice to laugh and I promise you if you go see Jackass you will laugh your @$$ off and have a great time. My face still hurts!

If you did see it, what were your favorite Jackass moments?!

Glee, Season 2, Episode 4 Review, "Duets"

This week on my favorite show in the world comes the weakest episode of the season thus far, "Duets". As you may have guessed from the title, each Glee member is paired up with the member of their choice to sing a duet. Competing students are voted on at the end to win a dinner for two coupon to eat at Breadsticks, the "Olive Garden" of the Glee Universe apparently.

First, characters are missing which wouldn't bother me if it were not two of the funnier ones, Sue Sylvester and Puck. Puck missing because he smashed his car into a convenience store and stole the ATM, landing himself in juvenile detention. In truth, there is no doubt in my mind he was written out of the episode to allow for new Glee member, Sam to get with Quinn. I guess that is one way to not have to deal with his reaction until a later show. And Sue does disappear from episode to episode. She seems very non-existent story wise this season. No really purpose, well, besides silly quotes.

Kurt finds a new crush to crush on, former quarterback and the club's newest, Sam. Kurt just doesn't realize how strong he comes on to his crushes. Calm down, boy! Finn has a problem with Kurt ruining Sam's reputation, which really isn't his business. Finn and Rachel are such annoying little pains in the @$$. Sam agrees to duet with Kurt. Then Kurt breaks it off and sings a duet by himself, cause he stands alone and is different, sigh.

I was actually surprised Kurt was taking care of his Dad, Burt in the episode. I am used to things like that being written out of TV shows once they happen.

For the prevs in Gleekdom, this episode confirms that Santana and Brittany are more than just friends in a little bedroom petting sequence. Brittany and Santana end up have a falling out, leading to Santana duetting with Mercedes. While Brittany goes after Artie to help her win the contest. She also helps him learn that the most important part of his body works still. You go Artie! Naughty, naughty.

All you Mike Chang fans prepare to have your dreams crushed! Mike Chang can't sing! I am hoping it was just the song Tina and him sang. But if that is really how he sings don't you dare let that happen again, Glee!!! If he is pretty dancing, let him dance!

Rachel and Finn decide to lose the duet competition on purpose for the better of the club, cause they believe they will win of course. Rachel is a @#$%#. Something about her is driving me up a wall this season. I can't help but complain every time she is on the screen. She looks horribly like one of my least favorite people this season, Barbra Streisand. I think it is her hagrifical hairdo. They sing by far the worst of the already @#itty song selection, Billy Preston and Syreeta, "With You I'm Born Again". It's bad.

Song wise this episode, what is the nicest word to describe it? Crap, with a capital C. I found myself hoping they would just end. Only two were not so bad which were Elton John and Kiki Dee's, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" sang by Rachel and Finn and Jason Marz and Colbie Caillat's, "Lucky" sang by Sam and Quinn. Otherwise shame on you Glee! You hurt my ears this week!

The episode wasn't terrible, it was actually good story wise. But after the last three very spectacular episodes, it just fell short and feels worse than it probably was. Bad, Glee! Balance your songs!

Next week no new Glee. Rocky Horror coming in two weeks!

What did you think of the episode? Any songs you wish they would sing?

Episode Song List:

Elton John and Kiki Dee - "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" - Finn and Rachel
Ike and Tina Turner - "River Deep, Mountain High" - Mercedes and Santana
Victor/Victoria - "Le Jazz Hot!" - Kurt
Billy Preston and Syreeta - "With You I'm Born Again" - Finn and Rachel
A Chorus Line - "Sing" - Mike and Tina
Jason Marz and Colbie Caillat - "Lucky" - Quinn and Sam
Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand - "Happy Days Are Here Again" - Kurt and Rachel

Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2 Demo Out Now!

Last night, the sneaky X-Box Live released the Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2 demo to its gaming masses! Force Unleashed 2 is the sequel to the 2008 smash hit of the same name, well without the 2. You continue the story of Vader's former apprentice searching for his place in the universe. But you know what you really want from it and that is jacked to holy hell force powers!

 I'm not usually a fan of demos, but I really want to force push some Stormtroopers off a cliff right now! Tell me what you think of the demo! Are you excited for this sequel? Enjoy peoples! Hugs!

New Harry Potter Posters!

WB just unleashed a slew of new posters for the second to last Harry Potter film.

Here are the new portrait ones. They are so-so, Voldemort one is pretty cool looking though. Gonna be awesome! But sad when they are all over.

Not really a fan of the HP7 logo either. Sounds like sunscreen when you say it out loud. I'll quit wasting your time, enjoy!

DC Comics Lowering Prices

I love you DC!

Starting January of 2011, DC Comics is lowering the price of all standard length $3.99 titles to $2.99 as a commitment to their core fans and to help the overall health of the industry.

I can't be happier! The $3.99 price hike on both Marvel and DC's part has been killing me. I don't like having to decide which titles I'm going to have to cut each month. Even though Marvel's writing staff helps me with that sometimes. Burn!

Some of the $3.99 titles with co-features stories will have said stories cut and a new place will be found for this characters. Only ones I really enjoyed were the Question and Manhunter getting a place to shine.

I am excited about this because now for every three DC titles I would normal purchase, I can buy one extra. Maybe you should take a cue from DC, Mr. Marvel.

Here is the official press release straight from the beast:

Official Press Release
Beginning January 2011, DC Comics will implement a line-wide pricing adjustment, lowering the prices of all standard length 32-page ongoing comic book titles currently priced at $3.99 to $2.99, it was announced today by DC Comics Co-Publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio.
“Today’s announcement re-affirms DC Comics' commitment to both our core fans and to comic book store retailers,” said Jim Lee, DC Comics Co-Publisher. “For the long term health of the industry, we are willing to take a financial risk so that readers who love our medium do not abandon the art form.”
“As Co-Publishers, we listened to our fans and to our partners in the retail community who told us that a $3.99 price point for 32 pages was too expensive. Fans were becoming increasingly reluctant to sample new titles and long term fans were beginning to abandon titles and characters that they’d collected for years.” said Dan DiDio, DC Comics Co-Publisher. “We needed a progressive pricing strategy that supports our existing business model and, more importantly, allows this creative industry to thrive for years to come. With the exceptions of over-sized comic books, like annuals and specials, we are committed to a $2.99 price point.”
When taking into account mini-series, annuals and specials, more than 80% of DC’s comic books will be priced at $2.99.
As of January, the following titles standard length ongoing titles, previously priced at $3.99 for 32 pages/22 story pages, will be priced at $2.99 with 32 pages/20 story pages:
American Vampire;
Batman: The Dark Knight;
Batman Incorporated;
Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors;
JSA All-Stars.
As of January, the following licensed titles, previously priced at $3.99, will be priced at $2.99:
Gears of War;
God of War;
Kane & Lynch;
Ratchet & Clank.
As of January, the following ongoing titles previously priced at $3.99 for 40 pages/30 story pages including co-features, will no longer include co-features and will be priced at $2.99 for 32 pages/ 20 story pages:
Action Comics;
Adventure Comics;
Batman: Streets of Gotham;
Detective Comics;
Doc Savage;
Justice League of America;
Legion of Super-Heroes;
The Spirit.
In January, five books are $3.99 for 40 pages/30 story pages:
Batman: Europa # 1
First Wave # 6
DCU: Legacies # 9
Weird Worlds # 1
World of Warcraft: Curse of the Worgen
The following oversized anniversary issue will be $4.99 for 48 pages/38 story pages:
Hellblazer # 275
“Fans of our co-features should stay tuned. Some of these characters will find a new platform,” said Dan DiDio. “Going forward, mini-series and special events may feature a different price point and page count to best allow writers and artists the flexibility of format and story pages they need to tell their stories best.”

Green Lantern Movie Villain Confirmed

SuperheroHype.com reports that hidden source code in the Green Lantern Movie site confirms that the yellow entity of fear himself, Parallax will be the villain of the upcoming movie. Not so much a big update but here is what the source code reveals:.

GREEN LANTERN - In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries.  Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps.  A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers.  But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

At least with Hal being the first we don't have to worry about Gardner and Stewart muscling their way in till the sequels. I guess Parallax is good enough place as any to start villain wise, also could lead into Sinestro Corps War. Here is a hoping.

What do you think of synopsis above? What about Parallax as the villain? Who do you think they should have used?

Glee, Season 2, Episode 3, "Grilled Cheesus"!

Can this season get any better fellow Gleeks?! Finn has so many funny lines in just the beginning of the show that I was laughing my head off before the title credit showed. This episode entitled "Grilled Cheesus" brings up the fun subject matters of religion and faith and actually made it amusing and funny, while not offending anyone. Anyone being me at least.

Beginning of the episode finds down on his luck, Finn making a grilled cheese sandwich on his George Foreman grill, only to find an image of Mr. Jesus Christ burnt into his sandwich. Not being of much faith but not wanting to be sacrilegious, he carves the sandwich in half and keeps the second half on a plate in his room. Later that night he decides to pray to his "Grilled Cheesus" for a victory in his upcoming football game. Victory! He finds that his prayers have come true. Praise the Grilled Cheesus!

Finn brings his newfound faith to Glee Club, wanting to sing praise Jesus in song! This splits the Glee club in  two different fronts of Yea and Nay for the religious jam session. Puck grabs a guitar and plays Billy Joel's " Only The Good Die Young", which is quite a catchy tune as it still is lingering in my head.

Meanwhile, Kurt has an argument with his father, Burt, about what is more important, the wants of a teenager or family. Television staple, Burt ends up having a heart attack that leaves him in a coma, leaving Kurt devastated. That's what happens when you fight with people! Haven't they watched TV?!

The Glee club tries to comfort Kurt with their prayers and songs. Rachel and the kids sing "Papa Can't You Hear Me" from Yentl while praying at Burt's bedside. Kurt is an atheist and doesn't believe in God and lashes out at them. Mercedes sings Whitney Houston's "I Look To You" also. I must have been getting ice cream during that.

Sue Sylvester finds out the group is singing songs about God and goes to Principal Figgins about it to shut them down. She needs a student complaint and uses Kurt to do so. So far that is two episodes of the song themes not pleasing Sue this season. Maybe that is purpose this season?

Finn prays again to his Cheesus and ends up with two more of his wishes coming true. Touching of Rachel's boob. Check! Getting his position of quarterback, back. Check! New quarterback, Sam getting his shoulder knocked out of place during a game.

School counselor, Emma Pillsbury goes to Coach Sylvester to tell her how horrible she thinks it is that she used a grieving Kurt to stop the Glee kids from trying to support their friend. Sue reveals she used to believe in God and prayer, until she prayed to God to cure her sister's Down Snydrome and the way people treated her sister, and no one was listening.

Kurt's best friend Mercedes takes him to church with her. Mercedes and the church choir sing, Simon and Garfunkel's, "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Kurt loosens up to his friends and sings a song that reminds him of when his mother died and his dad held his hand at the funeral, the Beatles, "I Want To Hold Your Hand". Finn has a crisis of faith and sings R.E.M's, "Losing My Religion".

Overall, everybody ends up where they were going. As for "Jimmy" or I mean Burt's fate and Finn's fallout with religion I'll leave that for you to watch yourselves. I don't want to give you no reason to watch the episode. I realize I am rambling about plot way too much.  :)

The New Directions crew ends the episode with Joan Osborne's, "One of Us" leading us into the episode ending montage! Another great episode down.

There was a lot of big, dangerous subject matter bouncing off the walls in this episode, as everyone has their opinions about these topics and different people will see things differently. I think they approached it from an interesting angle with the sandwich and tried to fit an opinion to please everyone. It is a TV show we watch them to get away from the world.

Overall, I don't like to think much, it hurts! The episode was hilarious and had some of the best lines yet! I love you, Brittany, your so sweet! It had some good songs. I worry sometimes that Glee is going to disappointment somedays and then I watch the next episode and then realize I am full poo. Until next week, Gleeks! It's Duet time!

What did you think about the episode? Hugs!

Green Lantern Movie Site Up and Running!!!

People of Sector 2814 your attention please! The Green Lantern is here to protect us!

That is right, the Green Lantern movie from Warner Bros is one step closer to being a reality and blowing us away with green, shiny awesomeness!!!

The official Green Lantern movie page is up just in time for the New York City Comic Con this weekend! Not much on there at the moment but still check it out! I am sure that could change at any second with comic book shenanigans going on all weekend long. Stay Tuned! Hug!

Mera Is Everywhere!

EW reports that Aquaman (Alan Ritchson) returns next month to Smallville and he will apparently be bringing his ball and chain with him, Mera! The fiery redhead that has been written into anything Geoff Johns writes, will be making her first small screen appearance being played by Elena Satine.

What other crazy characters are going to make appearances this year on Smallville?! I'm hoping for the Metal Men! Maybe the Doom Patrol!

What DC characters do you want to see live-action versions of on the tv and big screen? A lot of new projects coming our way.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Has Release Date!

Prepare yourselves adventurers of Azeroth! The next expansion for World of Warcraft will be arriving just in time to brighten your holiday season. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will be releasing on December 7th, 2010. With it a new level cap of 85, two new races, new high level zones and a completely reworked Azeroth, retooled by the destruction brought about with the return of Deathwing!

The two new races are the werewolf like, Worgen and the awesome as always Goblins. I have been waiting a long time for Goblins to be playable. Maybe, just maybe I will start a new Goblin character. If I have a slot on my account.

I have been WoW free for awhile now but nothing sparks my mood to play more than new content. I only actually tapped out my Lock to 80, last expansion and then just got bored with all the repetitiveness. When it gets closer to release we shall see how I feel about returning.

How excited are you current WoW players about the expansion? Are any of you former players going to return to Azeroth? How do you feel about WoW in general? Hug!

Front Magazine is now Digital!!!

Front Magazine, my favorite magazine of all time, has now gone digital! You can now enjoy Front on your iPad, PC and Mac. This news makes me happy as importing the mag costs a wee bit too much and getting to my local bookstore can be a bitch sometimes. Seeing Front on that iPad is beautiful!

If you haven't taken a gander at Front Magazine before, check it out on their website, Front. It is by far my favorite men's magazine ever! And I have read a lot crap magazines in my time! Front is like a T-Rex riding a giant awesome robot with lasers turrets manned by hot naked chicks!

For a subscription, make sure to go to Front Magazine and follow the instructions and grab a PC subscription if you want the dirty parts still showing. Stupid Apple and their modesty!

What I Am Watching This Season!

I haven't been this excited about a television season since the days when both, Friends and Seinfeld were on Thursday together. Which has been a pretty long time. It has been the rare occasion when I actually got my money's worth from my satellite dish the past few years.

I decide to write this blog to give the reader an idea of what I am watching and excited about. I'd review every show I watch, but then I'd probably quit watching TV. I've been watching a slew of new programs as well as a few oldies from last season. But even with all this television watching, I realized that I only watch programs on certain days. Mainly Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

I have a show or two on those other four days, but those four days I am naming my TV Black Hole. There is nothing that excites me to keep me going through the day. Friday and Saturday there is nothing that interests me at all! I'd start Smallville or Supernatural on Friday but both are way too many seasons in for me to catch up with and I don't watch things out of order.

So I guess I will start with Sunday and go from there.

Sunday:

 This is a strange day, as this used to be my go to day for funny. Fox's Animation Domination block was a favorite of mine as a kid. Now I watch it mainly as filler until Dexter is on Showtime. The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad I still record and watch. I do still enjoy them. I get a lot of flak cause how much I love American Dad. It's great! Watch it a couple times and you will see what I mean, the humor is much more darker and enjoyable than the other MacFarlane comedies. Much better written than Family Guy!

 The Cleveland Show actually made me turn it to the Amazing Race for that last half hour before Dexter last night. What a terrible show! Must be MacFarlane's revenge for Fox taking Family Guy off years ago. It is crap! Third time I have tried to give it a chance.

Showtime has Dexter during the fall, right after HBO's True Blood lets out from the summer. Which works great! It's crazy how Dexter can make you sympathize with a serial killer. Such a great series!

Monday:

 This used to be known as Big Bang Day by me and my friends, now not so much so! Monday is one of my four least favorite TV days. I hate you Monday!

 I do have one show I am really enjoying on Mondays and that is The Event!

The first episode started out slow, but put enough hooks in me to make me come back for another episode and the second episode did not disappoint! It has me addicted now. It is a fun sci-fi conspiracy show! I will post an article or two about it soon! If you want to talk about it with me, text or IM me!

Tuesday:

GLEE Night! I'm a Gleek! It's my favorite musical television show! Probably cause it is the only musical TV show. Makes me smile so much! If people give it a chance, it will win them over. And if not I will force it upon them. No, sometimes means Yes.

I also really enjoy Fox's new sitcom Raising Hope! It's hilarious! It reminds me of life where I live right now. People really are like that. It also fills the gap the sudden cancellation of My Name is Earl left in my heart. Funny since it is written by same guy.

I also have been watching Running Wilde, which has its funny moments. I want for it to succeed and it be brilliant. Maybe it will turn into that genius show I want it to be in time. Parks and Recreations was horrible and never made me laugh in its first season and it turned hilarious in season 2. At least I am laughing here and there.

No Ordinary Family started last week and looks like it could be a nice replacement for the awful, Heroes. I'm a sucker for super powered hero shows.

Wednesday:

First really busy night of television. First show is my guiltiest pleasure, the CW's, America's Next Top Model.
I started watching cause I had an interest in photography and stayed for the drama. I am not a fan of Tyra Banks, so it gives me an hour to complain about her. I have given it up for a season or two before, but always end up back. Only reality program I watch or ever will. My least favorite kinda show, so-called reality filth.

The ABC's brilliant comedy twosome, Modern Family and Cougartown! They are two of my favorite comedies! They both are just fun and entertaining. Watch them, laugh! Having fun and laughing is good!

I also am watching the lawyer drama, The Defenders. It's pretty enjoyable. I like Jerry O'Connell from his Sliders days. He and Jim Belushi are likable and work well together. I have never been a fan of lawyer shows, as I hate law and how it is just a game to lawyers, guilty or not, doesn't matter. So it is impressive feat to get me to watch a show about such.

Thursday:

Community and The Big Bang Theory start at 8. I hate that! Community is the superior show at the moment and not being given a chance now. Please watch them both people of Earth!

30 Rock is still great as always! One of the best on TV still after five seasons.

Shit My Dad Says, it is funny "sometimes". Mainly meaning Shatner has some funny lines every once in a while. I am not a fan of the rest of the cast, especially the old Mad TV cast playing the brother and sister in-law. I don't know why I am still watching this now that I am writing this. Don't watch this! lol.

I have watched every episode of CW's Nikita. It reminds me a lot of Dollhouse for some reason. It is a fun actiony type show. I have a special place in my heart for the original TV series that was on USA back in the day is why I originally decided to give this one a chance.

Lastly on Thursday, is FX's, It is Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League. Sunny hasn't been able to find its magic that made it great for the last three seasons and makes me so sad. There is maybe three episodes a season that are stellar and the rest are just there for no reason.

The League is one of my favorite comedies! It is great! I am not the biggest football fan but I still find it hilarious. If you are not watching it, you may want to fix that mistake.

Friday:

Usually movie theater night for the most part. I record Star Wars: Clone Wars and Batman: Brave and the Bold on Cartoon Network. Also I am giving IFC's The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret starting David Cross a chance.

Saturday:

Nothing. What a sad way to end this list. Not my fault, TV's fault for sucking.

Anyhoo, that is all the shows I watch so far this season, tell me what you think. I put a picture of my favorite show above each day. What shows are you watching? Is there anything you think I may like? What am I missing out on?

Hugs!

The Big Bang Theory, Season 4, Episode 2, "The Cruciferous Vegetable Amplification"

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory, found Sheldon struggling to come to grips with his mortality. Based upon charts and graphs of the way he lives his lifestyle he is going to pass away a tad short of being about to transfer his consciousness into a cyborg body.

Sheldon then decides to start changing the way he lives, by eating better and exercising to extend his life expectancy.

Which of course ends in a series of epic fails. First, involves eating healthier first, by changing pizza night to everyone's favorite, cruciferous vegetable night. This almost kills Sheldon, well kinda.

The other repeated joke of the episode is related to Penny and the fact pretty girl's don't have to pay for anything, well, because they are pretty. Pretty enough to obtain a $1,400. debt from Leonard, in a month, that is questionable in my eyes?! I still haven't forgiven her for hurting Leonard.

Rajesh of course is still not talking in front of lady folk which even includes Penny with whom he sees all the the time. Howard tells lies of what Rajesh is whispering which is kinda funny. But don't try to do this again cause I know you probably will writers of Big Bang! Recycling is good, but not for jokes!

If he can whisper to Howard, is he not still talking in front of a woman? And if so why can't he talk to the other male friends around him and ignore that Penny is there? It gets to me that he still has progressed through this point yet at season 4.

Second, Sheldon begins his running routine with Penny, which lasts about fifteen feet from his door before he falls down the stairs and hurts himself again. Proving living well is dangerous and that an accident may cause his downfall.

And so the Shel-bot is born! A roving, robot body with a monitor showing Sheldon on webcam, a shirt and speakers. I have sometimes wondered if it was possible to never have to leave my undisclosed, safe zone and still interact with society and as Sheldon as proven it can be done!

Really two robot related episodes in a row?! :)

We go through all the normal Sheldon jokes, but now with the Shel-bot! Which is funny in that its a new twist on something old. Sheldon really is the star of the show, if not for the fact he overpowers everyone else's characters.

The final scene in the episode finds the gang at the Cheesecake Factory to bother their favorite waitress, Penny. Sheldon goes through his normal restaurant Sheldonisms, before realizing this episodes guest star, Apple Co-Founder, Steve Wozinack is seated across the room from them.

Robo-Sheldon drives on over and sparks up a conversation telling Steve, he is his 15th technological visionary.  Steve tells Sheldon if he were there in person he would sign his prized old Apple computer system, resulting in Sheldon flying out of the house and falling down the same stairs in their apartment again, proving that accidents are the most common way a man of Sheldon's age could die.

Once again if you couldn't tell from the amount of times I used Sheldon's name, this was a very Sheldon-centric episode, as most episodes have become. I love Jim Parson's and his character Sheldon. He is one of my favorites of all time, and not just because I get referred to being like him by friends. I just wish there was a proper balance between all the characters and that some got to grow more, cough, Rajesh, cough.

I know I am asking a lot from a television sitcom. I can only watch Rajesh talk into Howard's ear so many times!

This episode I found more entertaining then last weeks season premiere, which may have come from the faces Sheldon was making on the monitor of the Shel-bot. They were pretty funny! All the jokes were delivered for the most part to at least a chuckle from me. Since I started writing about the show I've become very critical about its shortcomings, but overall it is still one of the funniest shows out there.

Also the sudden ending of shows with no conclusions has become really popular recently. Half the time I don't realize, FX's It's Always Sunny is even over until The League begins. Are proper endings too hard to write? Or is that the new "In" thing, I get behind on the times occasionally.

How did you feel about last nights episode? Do you like shows with no endings or conclusions your kinds thing?
